Cobra Movie Review

Hey, better late than never right? This is a movie that has a cult following and people bring it up quite a bit.

One of those films that, when seen objectively, we can all agree is rather horrible is Cobra. However, it contains just the proper mix of cheesiness, awkwardness, and nostalgia, leading many of us to believe that it is so terrible that it is actually fantastic.

Over the years, a variety of commentators, entertainment programs, and even Stallone himself on Saturday Night Live have made fun of Cobra. Nevertheless, I watch this movie every four to five years just for the amusement. As far as I’m concerned, the film’s opening scene is the best scene and one of my all-time favorite action scenes. “You’re the disease and I’m the cure.”

One of the worst scenes in movie history is The Montage, with Brigitte Nielsen and several ridiculous-looking robots. So it’s clear right away how this film is an oxymoron within an oxymoron.

I give this movie a low rating with the following caveat: “I don’t think the movie is amazing by any means. But the fact that the film is so enjoyable must mean something. Based on my own biases, I can’t help but give this movie a high rating.”

There are some incredibly careless filmmaking errors, like when Stallone rips the shirt off the guy who parked in his spot and you can actually make out the actor’s microphone strapped to his chest. However, I rate this film 79 potatoes on the baldy potatoes scale.

This movie has a pretty intriguing storyline as a whole. The movie production business, which was just getting started and attempting to stay afloat, threw everything they had at it. Here are more details concerning that incident.

I was motivated to write this review after watching the video below earlier today. This interview with Brian Thompson, the actor who portrayed the spooky antagonist “Night Slasher,” captivated me. Check out this video if you have even the slightest interest in this movie.
